what is your view on automatic shotguns

Automatic as in auto-loading, aka semi-automatic? Pretty awesome, just as long as their tuned correctly as to not be finicky with ammo.
Automatic as in fully-automatic? Looks like fun, but to be honest, thats just overkill, and ridiculous recoil.  If one or two loads of 00 buck from your pump/semi shotgun doesnt get the job done, then you may want to consider finding a .308…

Wait.. where’d the cute little kid i saw on the news go….

The SCAR’s… (I thought the SCAR was going to be the long term primary arm of U.S Special Forces like the Rangers but seems they cancelled it. Main issue is the continuing debate about the 5.56x45mm round. I like the SCAR but not so much the pencil thin barrel on that bulky design.)

I really love the .308 Scar 17.  The 5.56 16 version doesn’t really give me much advantage over a more standard (and less bulky) AR15. Gas piston, yes, but for that, I can go LWRC. The m6a3 is sexy!
Also, I don’t really dig the reciprocating charging handle, i could really see myself busting a nuckle open with it.  Seems like a .308 is far less likely to be rapidly fired, thus I don’t mind as much on the 17.

The legendary Heckler & Koch “Grey Room”. This is the business office of H&K located in Sterling, VA. It houses every single H&K weapon, from current production models to one of a kind prototypes.

Is… is this heaven?

They were up to their tricks again… big daddy possum visited my back deck again last night. This time, I had a few .22 caliber welcoming gifts for him.
In lieu of leaving his head on a pike at the head of the stairs leading up to the deck (dad veto’d that idea pretty quick…), I’ve hung this sign there.  Did i mention i hate possums?
